The soprano Olga Zaitseva graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where she studied under Associate Professor Pille Lill and Professor Jaakko Ryhänen. She obtained her MA degree in vocal pedagogy. She has participated in master-classes led by Ingrid Kremling, Elizabeth Wilke and Yandwiga Rappé. In 2008, Olga won the first prize in the Singing Competition "Song Has a Woman’s Face" (St Petersburg), and a special prize in the III and VII International Competitions "Opera, the Soul of Mountains" (Poland). She has also won special prizes in the II National Vocalists’ Competition dedicated to Vello Jürna. In 2015, she was awarded the "Crystal Shoe Award" by the Estonian Theatre Union for her remarkable performances of Almirena ("Rinaldo") and Giannetta ("L’Elisir d’Amore"). She is also a winner of the PLMF Estonian National Vocal Competition. Her repertoire includes: The Queen ("Aida"), Second Flower Girl ("Parsifal"), Tebaldo ("Don Carlo"), The Shepherdess ("L’enfant et les sortilèges"), Frasquita ("Carmen"), Kupava (in a concert performance of "The Snow Maiden") and Barbarina ("Le Nozze di Figaro"). In 2010, Zaitseva joined the Estonian National Opera.
