The Korean tenor WooYoung Yoon is currently a second-year MA student at Manhattan School of Music under Neil Rosenshein. He was cast in the cover role of Don Jose in "Carmen" with the Martina Arroyo Foundation in 2017. This spring, he performed the cover role of Ottokar in "Der Zigeunerbaron", and Tito in "La Clemenza di Tito" in 2016. In his first year as an MA student at MSM, he performed as Rodolfo in "Luisa Miller", and Belmonte in "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" under the baton of Maestro Thomas Muraco. While studying at KyungHee University, WooYoung prepared the roles of Riccardo ("Un Bello in Maschera") and Rodolfo ("La Bohème"). He is a recipient of an MSM Scholarship in Voice, and before that he was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship. He was a finalist in the Alfredo Silipigni Vocal Competition in 2017, and also received an Honourable Mention at the Metropolitan International Vocal Competition in 2016.
