The mezzo-soprano Dariya Knyazyeva was born in Rivne, Ukraine. In 2004–2011, she studied at the M. Lysenko National Music Academy of Lviv. Since 2011, she has been a soloist with Ukraine National Opera. She has already created the following roles: Amneris ("Aida"), Ulrica ("Un Ballo in Maschera"), Fenena ("Nabucco"), Maddalena ("Rigoletto"), Olga ("Eugene Onegin"), Polina ("The Queen of Spades"), Marta ("Iolanta") and Suzuki ("Madam Butterfly"). Her concert repertoire includes parts from Giuseppe Verdi ("Requiem"), Giovanni Battista Pergolesi ("Stabat Mater"), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ("Requiem"), and Antonio Vivaldi ("Stabat Mater"). Dariya won the fourth prize in the Bulbuls International Competition of Vocalists (2012), third prize in the IV Mykola Lysenko International Music Competition (2012), and second place in the "Competizione dell”Opera" (2012). She was invited as a guest soloist at the Erfurt Theatre to sing the part of Eboli in "Don Carlos" in the 2013–2014 season.
