Violinist captured international attention in 2019, when he became the youngest performer (then being at the age of ten) to win 2nd prize in the category A at the III Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians. This young violinist from China has also garnered the 1st prize in the Category B at the XV Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition, 2nd prize and the Note di Talento, a special prize awarded to the best performer of the piece then composed for the competition by Stefano Delle Donne, at the first edition of the Città di Cremona Competition. He also received a special prize which entitled the finalists, deemed outstanding by the jury, to perform at the Stradivari Festival 2024. At the same year, he was also accepted to Morningside Music Bridge.
Shaoheng began learning violin at the age of 5. He was admitted into the Lun String Orchestra of the Guangzhou Tianhe Mo Xing Children's Palace as the principal violin. Furthermore, he was accepted into the Music School of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, and held a first place as a major violin student. Now, he is 10th grade student at the Music School of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, and studies with the Wei Lu who is guest concertmaster of Deutsches Symphony Orchester Berlin, and violin prof. Xinlin.
