Péter Mekis (b. 1986) studied organ with László Fassang, János Pálúr and István Ruppert at Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, and organ and church music with Christoph Bossert at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. Since 2009 he is the organist at the First Lutheran Church of Budapest, works as a tutor, and plays together with the Lutheránia choir and orchestra in Budapest with the repertoire of Johann Sebastian Bach sacred works. On summers he teaches organ and liturgic improvisation at the Hungarian Lutheran Church Music Institution, where he also conducts a chamber orchestra.
