Mingyue Zhao was born in China in 1996. She has been studying the art of performance in the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music since 2015. Mingyue is supervised by professor Yu Mingqing. The cellist is the concertmaster of the China Youth Symphony Orchestra’s cello section. Mingyue is a constant participant of various festivals – in 2012 she participated in the Cello Biennale Amsterdam festival, 2012- 2014 was a constant participant of the Spring Gala Festival of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, in 2018 she played at the Busan music festival and also had a performance with the Chu Yi-Bing cello ensemble. In 2015-2018 Mingyue was a member of the chamber orchestra Seasons, and has also performed with other famous Chinese artists, such as Li Yundi, Ning Feng, Liao Changyong, and others. The cellist further honed her skills in masterclasses led by Harada Sadao, Liwei Qin, Lynn Harrell, and others.
