The baritone Denis Bessmertnyi was born in Togliatti in Russia. In 2006, he graduated from the Togliatti Conservatory, where he studied piano. In 2007, he entered the Vocal Department of Togliatti Conservatory, where he studied under Professor Galina Sorokina. After graduating with honours in 2011, he joined the class of Associate Professor Alexander Naumenko at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow. From 2013 to 2015, Denis was a soloist with the Academy's opera-theatre studio, where he sang the roles of Count Almaviva ("Le Nozze di Figaro") and Yeletsky ("The Queen of Spades"). He graduated with honours from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in 2015, and entered the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he is studying in the class of Professor Virgilijus Noreika. This year, Bessmertnyi performed the role of Guglielmo in Mozart's opera "Cosi fan tutte" with the LMTA opera studio.
