Pietro Milzani was born in Brescia, in 2005. At the age of 4 he began his violin studies and at the age of 11 he was admitted to the Conservatory of Luca Marenzio in Brescia under the guidance of prof. Alberto Martini, who is still his teacher in the third years of bachelor’s studies. Since 2020, Pietro also has been a student of prof. Pavel Berman at the Perosi Academy in Biella. He participated at the masterclasses conducted by Stefan Milenkovich, Ilya Grubert, Silvia Marcovici, Marco Rizzi, Cristiano Rossi and Pavel Berman. He has been awarded in several violin competitions, such as the European Music Competition in the Moncalieri, Làszlò Spezzaferri International Chamber Music Competition, International Competition „Premio Città di Padova“, „Musica Goritientis“ Competition, Cervignano International Music Competition, and others. Recently, after passing the selection at the Luca Marenzio Conservatory in Brescia as as the best violin student there, he entered the National “Premio delle Arti” Competition, a prestigious one, organized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, and received a special mention from the jury. In 2023, he played with Joseph Aloysius Marconcini in 1814 made violin, as the winner of the first prize at the Lonardi Competition, which is reserved for the best violin students of northern Italy conservatoires. Currently, he plays on a precious Genuzio Carletti (Pieve di Cento, 1975).
