Pijus Pirogovas began his musical career at the Šilutė School of Art, in the piano class of Liudmila Kašėtienė-Mikkelsen. Thanks to his hard work and talent, he has already become a laureate of numerous regional, national and international competitions, and has also played with several chamber and symphony orchestras. The young performer is constantly improving his skills in masterclasses in Lithuania and abroad. He is under support of the Michel Sogny Foundation "SOS TALENTS" and was a scholarship recipient of the Rostropovich Charity and Support Foundation "Help for Lithuanian Children". Since September 2023, Pijus has been studying at the Purcell School of Music at the United Kingdom in the piano class of Marta Grigaliūnaitė. At the International Competition for Young Pianists in Tartu (Estonia, 2017) Pijus won 1st prize and played with the chamber orchestra. He was also awarded 1st prize at the Peter Toperczer International Piano Competition (Slovakia, 2019), also at the F. Chopin Competition in Narva (Estonia, 2020). At the International Polish Piano Music Festival-Competition dedicated to F. Chopin, Pijus was awarded with the grand prix (Poland, 2021), and at the VI International Competition "Premio Scarlatti" in Vilnius 2022 he has won the grand prix and the special prize for the best performance of a work by Domenico Scarlatti. At the International Competition for Young Pianists "Euterpe" in Corato (Italy), Pijus was awarded the title of absolute winner. In 2024, the young pianist received an invitation to the "Feuerwek" Academy in Einbeck, Germany.
