Sebastian Iivonen (b. 1997) was invited to Moscow by the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation to play in a concert at the Moscow Philharmonic hall at the age of 14. Sebastian is currently studying at the Royal College of Music/Edsberg Castle in Stockholm with prof. Mats Widlund. Sebastian has won many international piano competitions in Europe, such as Stockholm International Music Competition, Musical Fireworks (Germany), Music Without Borders (USA), International Piano Competition (France) and many others. Ever since then, Sebastian has travelled around Europe and America giving concerts and participating in festivals and masterclasses for well known professors, such as Alexander Kobrin, Sergei Edelmann, Rena Shereshevskaia, Leif-Ove Andsnes, Konstantin Sherbakov. In February 2019 Sebasltian won jury’s special prize for best performance of virtuoso etude at the IX Nordic Piano Competition in Sweden.
