The Japanese pianist Kendzsi Tanaka (1995) was born in Hungary. In 2017 he graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London where he studied with Joanna MacGregor. Currently, he is studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhaga, in the class of professor Niklas Sivelöv. One of the most important achievements of Kendzsi was the third prize at the VII International Béla Bartók Piano Competition where he also won the special prize that gave him a chance to play with the Hungarian National Symphony Orchestra Szeged. The pianist has participated in masterclasses that took place in Hungary, The Netherlands, Slovenia, and Great Britain, where he worked with famous artists Matti Raekallio, Vladimir Viardo, Eckhardt Gábor, Diana Ketler, Steven Osborne, and Lívia Rév.
