The young Polish mezzo-soprano Katarzyna Balejko recently graduated from the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Before that, she studied at the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice. The roles she has prepared include Dido ("Dido and Aeneas"), Malika ("Lakmé"), Olga ("Eugene Onegin") and Lucretia ("The Rape of Lucretia"). This autumn, she is going to join the young artist's programme "Les Azuriales" in Nice. Katarzyna has already performed at the Milton Court Studio Theatre and Shanghai Grand Theatre, and given a recital at Casa Milà in Barcelona.
