The baritone Badral Chuluunbaatar studied singing at the Mongolia College of Music and Dance, which he completed in 2012. In 2016, he graduated from the Gnessin Russian Music Academy. Badral is a soloist with the Mongolian War Song and Dance Ensemble, and the Magnitogorsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. He was awarded third prize in the International K. Bazarsadayev Singing Competition, and second prize in the N. Obuhovag, International Mikhail Glinka and the International Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov competitions. He also became a winner in the International L. Linchovoin Opera Singers' Competition, and won the Grand Prix in the International A.P. Ivanov and the International N.D. Shpillyer Singing Competitions. In 2014, Badral took fourth place in the "Grand Opera" Competition organised by Russian National Television. The same year, he won second prize in the International Elena Obraztsova Competition, where he also received a special prize, the chance to perform in the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg.
