Ecuadorian pianist Aarón Ormaza Vera is currently residing in the Netherlands and studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Frank van de Laar where he is pursuing masterʼs degree in piano. As part of his professional activities, Aarón has been performing both as a soloist and as a collaborative artist, which have brought to him the opportunity of playing at some of the most important venues in the Ecuador and the Netherlands (TivoliVredenburg, Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam and Eindhoven, Toonzaal Den Bosch and others). He is a prizewinner of the VIII European Piano Competition organised by the Young Pianst Foundation (YPF) in the Netherlands and the IX Stasys Vainiūnas Competition for Pianists and Chamber Ensembles in Lithuania.

Aarón obtained his bachelor degree in Ecuador in 2016, which was followed up by a successful audition at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he studied in the class of the renowned pedagogue prof. Jan Wijn, who guided Aaron towards the completion of his second bachelor degree in 2020. During his education at the Amsterdam Conservatory, he also studied fortepiano with Olga Paschenko, and profited from masterclasses with Jeff Cohen, Kelvin Grout, Geoffrey Madge, Enrico Pace, Aleksandar Madžar and Boris Slutsky.

Aarón is an experienced chamber musician and accompanist. For over a decade he has been playing recitals together with singers, strings, winds and percussion. In addition, as a soloist he performed with the orchestra on numerous occasions in Ecuador, where he played concertos by F. J. Haydn, L. van Beethoven, E. Grieg and F. Liszt.
