Daniel Kim, 25, began his cello studies with Jennifer Stomberg and Amy Barston, and received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University (prof. Hans Jorgen Jensen, Wei Yu). Kim has played for and collaborated with Clive Greensmith, Jian Wang, Julia Lichten, Clara Kim, Doomin Kim, Lynn Harrell, Mark Kosower, Blaise Dejardin, the Borromeo String Quartet, the Dover String Quartet, Peter Stumpf, Rick Mooney, and Gilda Barston. Kim is currently pursuing his Masters in Cello Performance on a Dean’s Scholarship with prof. Yeesun Kim at the New England Conservatory. He has been awarded 2nd prize in the France Music Competition and was a finalist in the 2022 International Anton Rubinstein Competition.
