Tudor Mihai Ionescu started attending the Music School “Ion Vidu” in Timișoara at the age of 6. There he studied cello with prof. Stefan Ambrus. Currently, he is a student of prof. Simona Ratiu. He is a winner of several national and international competitions including “Eugen Cuteanu” (2017, 2018, 2019 – 1st prize, Romania), National Competition “Timotei Popovici” (2019, 1st prize, Romania), IX David Popper International Cello Competition (2021, 3rd prize, Hungary), National Music Competition “Paul Constantinescu” (2022, 1st prize, Romania). He has honed his skills in masterclasses led by prof. Dr. Octavian Lup, Valentin Radutiu, Stephan Forck, Fenyo Laszlo.
