Members of the duo "Gloria&Ilana" Gloria Ilves (violin, Estonia) and Ilana Makarina (piano, Latvia) have met at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Their collaboration happened to be very successful and they decided to continue to play together. The musicians have taken part in many competitions in Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Italy, France, Lithuania, and many other countries as soloists, as well as members of a chamber ensemble. They have participated in masterclasses led by Evan Rothstein, Mari Tampere-Bezrodny, Ivari Ilja, Anna-Liisa Bezrodny, Natalia Lomeiko, Alexander Kobrin, and many others.
